April was yet another great month for local artists of Ahmedabad. Mid-week music sessions at Zoola cafe, Curated by Sunday secret sessions is picking up it’s speed.
April was dedicated to Reggae music and indie music. We saw some wonderful artists with their originals and singing to reggae songs. It was a month packed with great music and freedom of expression.
We kicked off with Meet Patel and Dhruv. Their music is inspired by Bob Marley, R.E.M. Ben Harper, etc. Reggae has been a major influence in their life. The message of Peace, love and unity. They created a different vibe in itself. We wrote a blog about Reggae music and the culture of it.
Next week, Himanshu Desai also known as Hermit Guitarist. He came with Jazz renditions of reggae songs. He had his own touch in each song. He brought comedic jazz/reggae set with great storytelling. Expressing what he felt, he brought out the true spirit of reggae. He is also performing on 27th April at Abhivyakti city arts project Edition 2
Venue : Dinesh Hall
Time : 9:00 PM
Meet Rao was our last artist for this month. He is an indie artists with his originals. His song “nanhe kadam” already have a cult following. It is a beautiful song he composed when he was working for an NGO Making a difference. He is working on his EP and will be releasing soon.
